If you need quick translations, iPhone and iPad have Apple's built-in Translator app, and iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 have nice updates. If you need to translate voice or text on the go, many mobile apps can handle it. In the same as the call recorder app can be really useful and productive for your work. But if you have an iPhone or iPad, Apple offers a built-in translation feature. 




The app released with iOS 14 supports 12 different languages, including English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic. I'm here. Many of them can be downloaded for offline use. With iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, the auto-translate feature lets you translate conversations back and forth without touching the microphone button. There are also two modes based on holding the device and the ability to translate selected text from any app on the device. 




How to translate text and voice on  Apple devices. 




Update to iOS 15 


To get the latest features, update your device to iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 or later if you haven't already. Go to Settings > General > Software Update. Your device will notify you that the software has been updated or prompt you to download and install the latest updates. Then open the Translator app or download it from the App Store (opens in a new window) if you uninstalled it earlier. 




Text and Speech Translation 


The first step in your application is probably the selection of the source and target languages. Tap the first language's down arrow to change it to your preferred language if it's not already set correctly. Do the same with the second language. To enter the text to translate using the keyboard, tap the space below and enter the text. Click Go to confirm and the translation will appear below the text. Tap the play button to hear the translation spoken. 


Tap the microphone icon if you want to speak a sentence. Wait for Listen to appear on the screen, then speak. Speak a word and it will appear on the screen. Make sure it matches what you said. A translation will appear on the screen. Tap the play icon to hear the translation spoken. 




Save to Favorites and Assign Words 


For future use of this phrase, tap the star favorite icon next to the translated text to save it to your Favorites list. Tap the book icon to look up the definition of each translated word in the dictionary. Tap the icon to highlight and define the first word of the translation. Then tap another word in the translation to see its dictionary definition. 




Tap the Favorites icon on the bottom or side navigation bar to see all phrases you've added to your Favorites list and recently translated phrases. To remove a favorite from your list, swipe left and click the Remove Favorite icon. You can delete recent sets by swiping left and tapping the delete icon. You can also like the latest phrases by tapping the favorite icon.
